EA Panels Lead SolidCAM Programmer/ Machinist (Thousand Oaks)

EA Panels combines art & science, in the custom manufacture of the highest quality aircraft instrument panels in the industry. We partner with avionics installation shops across North America, to help them design newly refurbished or upgraded avionics panels.

EA Panels is looking for a qualified Lead CNC Programmer/ Machinist, a craftsman capable of turning metal components into a work of art, at their Thousand Oaks shop. The workflow in this small business is fast-paced. Therefore experience working quickly without sacrificing quality is essential. The candidate will use meticulous attention to detail, using the latest CNC equipment available.

The primary duties of the CNC Machinist will be to build standard & complex instrument panels, components, & assemblies, using HAAS VF3SSYT, Patriot with Fagor Control, & primarily SOLIDWORKS/ SolidCAM. They will use standard assembly practices, provided by design drawings &/ or the original provided part, to make sure components are built accurately.

The candidate needs to have a basic understanding of operating shop machinery & software & will be taught to powder-coat & laser-engrave.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • HAAS Certified Mill Operator, & basic 3 & 4th Axis Mill experience

  • Experience with HAAS advanced probing functions

  • SolidCAM Certification, or experience with previous CNC work

  • Experience managing shop operations for priority workloads

  • Ability to handle multiple projects/ jobs simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • CSWA – Certified SolidWorks Associate

  • Powdercoat experience

  • Avionics or other Aviation experience or interests
